ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, the theoretical background to the use of antibodies, and particularly monoclonal antibodies, as reagents was discussed. The relative advantages of monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal antisera were considered. Subsequent chap ters deal in detail with the practical aspects of making and using monoclonal antibod ies.
