ABSTRACT

What is social responsibility? Just walking through the supermarket today, we are bombarded with the “green” label on just about everything. Household cleaning products containing inorganic compounds and bleach are labeled “green.” Oil companies advertise their “sustainable” business plans. Some multinational corporations, infamous for their cold-hearted employment tactics, tout social responsibility programs. These terms have lost any merit or validity, if they ever had any. Our readers may ask, if there is no valid definition of social responsibility, isn’t it a farce to claim to improve it?
