ABSTRACT
Ependymomas are tumors of the central nervous system (CNS) that derive from the ependymal cells lining the ventricles of the brain. This chapter focuses on intracranial ependymomas; therefore, ependymomas that arise in the spinal cord or cauda equina will not be dealt with.
