Magnesium sulphate:
Produces toxic effects that can be reversed by the administration of calcium
Attenuates hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction
Suppresses the response to laryngoscopy
Has a diuretic effect
Shortens the duration of neuromuscular blockade
