Clinical and radiological anatomy The penis is composed of two corpora cavernosa and the corpus spongiosum. Distally the corpus spongiosum expands into the glans penis, which is covered by a skin fold known as the prepuce. The prepuce and skin of the penis drain to the superficial inguinal lymph nodes. The glans penis and corpora have a very rich lymphatic supply, which drains to the deep inguinal and external iliac lymph nodes as shown in Fig. 31.1.
