ABSTRACT
Readers with a limited biochemical background are urged to refer back to Chapter 6 to facilitate their understanding of the significance of particular biochemical lesions that result from a vitamin deficiency. Chapter 3 has a discussion of the methods used to determine vitamin requirements and assess vitamin status, and Table 3.6 contains a summary of some of the biochemical tests of vitamin status.
