ABSTRACT
In the buttock, the sacrum (1) is medial, the greater trochanter (2) lateral, and midway between the two is the prominent ischial tuberosity (3). Structures passing medial to the tuberosity, between it and the sacrum, are passing to the perineum. Structures passing lateral to the tuberosity, between it and the greater trochanter are passing to the posterior thigh.
