ABSTRACT

A patient presented to the clinic having had antenatal screening. The results of this screening were an increased nuchal translucency (3.2 mm), an alfafetoprotein (AFP) of 0.53 Multiples of Median (MoM), an unconjugated estriol (uE3) of 0.56 MoM, and an increased human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) of 2.6 MoM. I The combination of increased nuchal translucency and hCG with decreased

AFP and uE3 is strongly suggestive of Down’s syndrome.
