Source: Ionagar No. 2 is available from Thermo Scientific. Preparation of Agar Base: Add components, except agar, to distilled/deionized water and bring volume to 1.0L. Adjust pH to 5.5. Add agar. Mix thoroughly. Gently heat and bring to boiling. Distribute into screw-capped bottles in 140.0mL volumes. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure-121°C. Cool to 45°–50°C.
