ABSTRACT
This chapter utilizes three geoscience applications to demonstrate how to test the readiness of cloud services including NASA Nebula, Windows Azure, and Amazon Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2). The test results from cloud-hosted applications are compared to those using a traditional cluster.
