ABSTRACT

Your life is full of daily decisions that, over time, determine the trajectory of your personal history. Many of these decisions involve making significant choices about who to marry, what career path to undertake, what to eat, how to best manage your finances, or what political cause to support. Every decision that you make in your life is based on some belief about the nature of the universe and, perhaps, the very meaning of life itself. It is apparent if we adopt beliefs that are false, then decisions that are based on those beliefs will be misguided at best and destructive at the worst. Even if our belief system includes only true beliefs, we might still make decisions through illogical or haphazard reasoning about those beliefs and again, end up making misguided or potentially destructive choices.
