ABSTRACT

Given the challenges and complexities of running programs in today’s environment, program managers have to utilize many tools and techniques to make sure they are managing all of the moving parts of a program including the schedule, nancials, vendors, resources, and communications, just to name a few. On smaller projects one project manager can usually handle all of these pieces and does not require as much rigor. However, on programs that have many interdependencies and moving parts, it is critical to understand them all and not just manage them but also have leading indicators that identify trends which can then be used proactively to take action.
