ABSTRACT
Counting processes: A continuous time process N(t) taking integer values is called a counting process if it is right continuous and increasing. It may be regarded as counting the number of certain events up to time t. A counting process N(t) jumps up whenever an event occurs and the size of jump N(t) N(t) is the number of events occurring at time t.
