ABSTRACT

At the last time, the search for substances, including natural ones, protecting the organism from unfavorable action of the environment, particularly various carcinogenic factors, has become very important. Antioxidants are of particular interest as these biologically active substances [1]. It has been shown that a synthetic antioxidant from the class of hindered phenols [β-(4-hydroxy-3,5-ditretbutylphenyl)propionic acid (phenozan)] shows significant antitumor activity both in low and very-low doses when administered into the organism of leukemic mice [2].
