ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE: This chapter intends to make the reader familiar with the basics of the Taguchi design of experimentation, which is very popular in the field of biological systems. The reader can better understand the basic principles based on which the Taguchi design works, along with its advantages and the disadvantages compared to other experimental and non-experimental statistical techniques popularly used to optimize biological systems.
