ABSTRACT

The government of the Bahamas has long been concerned about food security as about 80% of foodstuffs are imported [1]. The island nation is literally days away from shortages if for some reason cargo is suspended. This has already happened due to weather and war events. It is a recurrent discussion that production should be increased, which seems obvious due to the warm and sunny climate [2]. Agricultural development has not followed desire or expectations. There are problems.
