ABSTRACT
In 2007, Goebel and Japo´n Pineda [33] introduced a class of mean nonexpansive mappings to obtain some new fixed point theorems of stability type. Their result initiated a new classification of Lipschitz mappings. Now, we shall present the origin of the condition discussed.
