ABSTRACT

The author summarized the factors that inuence stroke model consistency and provided guidelines on how to improve stroke model quality. In addition to the in-depth discussion on the technical details of stroke modeling, the recently updated Stroke Therapy Academic Industry Roundtable (STAIR) recommendations were also revisited and discussed. When climbing the STAIR to achieve for high-quality stroke research, especially when therapeutic window and multiple endpoints are involved, the natural history of stroke evolvement must be taken into consideration.
