ABSTRACT
But, Paul Flory will be remembered for much more than his technical contributions to polymer science, great as they were. He made a large number of scientific friends during his life and greatly influenced both their science and their lives. For those friends that have joined him in death, short biographical vignettes will be included in this volume. For those friends who are still writing in 2014, personal memorials of a longer format will be included. Both lists are long, but with the luxury of a formal biography, it is possible to do justice to this aspect of Flory’s life.
