ABSTRACT
Why and how do you distract test participants? Distractions, such as background noise and requests from colleagues, can have a substantial, negative effect on the quality of interaction between users and medical devices. Therefore, high-fidelity usability tests that emphasize realism should include representative distractions, some of which might be constant.
