What is the relationship between usability testing and risk management? Usability testing should be part of an overall risk management scheme. Testing helps determine if using a device poses risks that should be reduced or eliminated before the device goes to market. Accordingly, a summative usability test should be focused on tasks posing the greatest risk according to preceding analyses and formative usability tests.
