ABSTRACT

The intuitive idea was to change an existing model of one knowledge talk per month, disconnected from any knowledge activities, and not giving anything back to the speakers, to a gathering of like-minded people who would share what they do, learn from one another, and network during the knowledge fair. The challenge was keeping it to a peer-to-peer learning workshop rather than a conference of talks by “gurus”. Working with facilitators to design interactive sessions, AdobeConnect moderators to ensure active participation by an online audience, and combining a workshop with concurrent sessions with extended time at lunch for a knowledge fair led to a highly participative two-day knowledge-sharing event.
