ABSTRACT

The DG/K-based approach for part surface generation is discussed in the previous chapters. This approach can be used for the development of novel advanced methods of part surface machining. Below, numerous examples that illustrate the capabilities of the DG/K-based approach are briefly considered. In the examples below, it is assumed that all necessary conditions of proper part surface generation [112,116,117,136] are satisfied (see Chapter 7).

Numerous methods of sculptured part surface machining on a multiaxis NC machine have been developed by now. A review of known methods of sculptured part surface machining is available from literature [108,127].
