ABSTRACT

A motion of the form-cutting tool relative to the work is necessary for machining a given part surface on the machine tool. Relative motions of the work and of the form-cutting tool are necessary for the generation of a part surface being machined. No machining operation can be performed without a certain relative motion of the work or the cutting tool. The work and the cutting tool relative motion are observed for all methods of part surface machining on a machine tool.
