ABSTRACT

In recent years, renewable energies attract considerable attention due to the inevitable end of fossil fuels and due to global warming and other environmental problems. Photovoltaic solar energy is being widely studied as one of the renewable energy sources with key significance potentials and a real alternate to fossil fuels. Solar cells are in general packed between w80, brittle and rigid glass plates. Therefore, increasing attention is being paid to the construction of lighter, portable, robust, multipurpose and flexible substrates for solar cells. Textiles substrates are fabricated by a wide variety of processes, such as weaving, knitting, braiding and felting. These fabrication techniques offer enormous versatility for allowing a fabric to conform to even complex shapes. Textile fabrics not only can be rolled up for storage and then unrolled on site but also they can also be readily installed into structures with complex geometries.
