ABSTRACT

As defined in Chapter 2, the project’s team members are stakeholdersin many ways the most important stakeholders. They contribute to the success of the project through their knowledge, skills, and contribution to the work. For optimal contribution, they need an effective work environment. This is the leadership role and responsibility of the project manager. The theories of leadership described in the previous chapter are intended to assist project managers seeking to lead their teams and to motivate them by providing the best possible environment to facilitate project success.
