ABSTRACT

Recently the application of nanostructured materials has garnered attention, due to their interesting chemical and physical properties. Application of nanostructured materials on the solid substrate such as fibers brings new properties to the final textile product [1]. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are one of the most recognized nanoporous materials, which can be widely used for modification of fibers. These relatively crystalline materials consist of metal ions or clusters (named secondary building units, SBUs) interconnected by organic molecules called linkers, which can possess one, two or three dimensional structures [2-10]. They have received a great deal of attention, and the increase in the number of publications related to MOFs in the past decade is remarkable (Fig. 1).
