ABSTRACT
Two IP addresses are discovered, a device entitled David Brenshaw with an IP address of 192.168.1.67 and the network router David, which is using:
Clicking on David Brenshaw we nd his medium access control (MAC) address (the physical address of this device) and manufacturer:
Clicking on Network Router we nd its MAC address (the physical address of this device) and manufacturer:

Click on Network Tools, and we see we now have a choice between three tools:
◾ Ping Device ◾ Port Scan ◾ Wake on LAN
We click on Ping Device, and from our iPhone we can see that our phone is able to “touch” the router:
Clicking on Port Scan from our iPhone shows us that Network Router has two open ports:
◾ Port 80, which is the port normally associated with a standard Internet connection
◾ Port 443, which is the port normally associated with a secure Internet connection

Next, we decide to assign a custom name to Network Router. We’ll call it Router 2811:
Above we attempted to implement the Wake on LAN feature. Notice below that our custom name has been implemented.
