ABSTRACT
Immunosafety is a key element of the safety assessment of engineered nanomaterials. In this chapter, we discuss recent research on the impact of various classes of nanomaterials on the innate and adaptive arms of the immune system with a view toward safe applications of nanomaterials in the clinical setting.
