ABSTRACT
The discipline of environmental protection (EP) serves as a conduit for companies to facilitate compliance to the regulations established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other agencies that have enacted regulations designed to preserve the environment. The EPA was established to protect human health, reduce and control pollution to the environment, and ensure that toxic substances are properly disposed. The EP functional area is critical to the goal of protecting and sustaining the world’s natural resources.
