ABSTRACT
Physical security systems for protected facilities are generally intended to deter potential intruders through the use of warning signs and perimeter markings; distinguish authorized from unauthorized people using keycards and/or access badges; delay, frustrate, and ideally prevent intrusion attempts through the use of physical barriers; detect intrusions and monitor and record intruders through the use of surveillance systems; and trigger appropriate incident responses by security guards and the police.
