ABSTRACT
In the years following 1950, like most scientifi c disciplines, Archaeology became the fi eld of major research in the application of Mathematics and Computers. At the same time Archaeometry was applied to Physics and Earth Sciences with environmental reconstitution and palaeoclimatology. In this chapter we attempt, in brief, to rebuild the history of this period, the main actors and their contribution to the evolution of Archaeology.
