Description: This species has a maximum length of 1 m. Scales are numerous, small, and usually lost. Body is silvery; back is bright blue (fading to gray); and anks are bright silver. The slightly shorter pectoral n and the black marking of the upper part of the dorsal n are the chief identifying features of this species. Fins are spineless.
