ABSTRACT
In the discussion in Chapter 2 on the performance of single stage, it was noted that, for a feed stream of given composition, the range of possible product compositions obtainable with an equilibrium stage at a given pressure is bounded by the bubble point and the dew point compositions at that pressure. In order to extend this range to higher or lower component concentrations, multiple stages are used.
