ABSTRACT
What can be considered or not considered a medical robot is still under debate. The narrowest definition includes only those devices encompassing a robot or a robotic system which are used for a direct medical purpose, i.e., for surgical and radiation therapy and for rehabilitation, disregarding, for example, the assistive devices and the person carriers used in hospitals.
