ABSTRACT
The storm water permi t applicat ions discussed in Chapter 3 have speci fic storm water sampl ing requi rements . Sampl ing data gathered for the applica tion will be used to character ize storm water discharges, and will serve as a basis for establ ishing requi rements in Nat ional Pol lutant Discharge El iminat ion System (NPDES) storm water permits. It is impor tant to note that the applicant must repor t data that are representat ive of the storm water discharge and that the intent ional misrepresenta t ion of discharge characterist ics is unlawful.
