INDICATIONS n Reconstruction of the nipple-areola is usually the final stage of breast reconstruction. It visually
transforms the breast mound into a natural-appearing breast. n Studies have shown that all postmastectomy patients have severe alteration in body image with
adverse psychological consequences after being diagnosed with breast cancer.1
