ABSTRACT
Amorphous and zeolite catalysts also differ in product selectivity. Whereas amorphous hydrocracking catalysts are generally suited to maximize middledistillate and heating oil yields, zeolite-based catalysts have proven highly effective in maximizing gasoline yields. However, more recently, zeolite-based catalysts have been developed to maximize middle-distillate yields (see Section 7.3).
