ABSTRACT

Caliciviruses (family Caliciviridae) are small, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA viruses that are associated with a wide range of economically important diseases in animals and humans. The family Caliciviridae is complex, consisting of ve recognized genera (Vesivirus, Lagovirus, Norovirus, Sapovirus, and Nebovirus) in addition to several proposed genera (e.g., Bavovirus, Nacovirus, Recovirus, Secalivirus, and Valovirus).
