ABSTRACT
This chapter consists of a short introduction to the theory of uniform, Goldie and Krull dimensions of rings and modules. Uniform modules and their main properties are considered in Section 5.1, where the uniform dimension of modules is also introduced and studied. Modules of finite Goldie dimension as defined by A. Goldie are considered in Section 5.2.
