ABSTRACT

The essence of ready organization, processes, and governance is the formalization of ready technology assessment and exploitation. ere are devices, hardware, and software technologies that 10 years ago were treated as immature and even dangerous, but today and going forward should be identified and vetted as “ready” for implementation. e “rules” around all this are important, especially because they (re-)define a company’s technology culture. For many companies this

all represents a huge change in the way they see technology, in the way they acquire/deploy/support technology, and in how they define agility (if they define agility at all). Learning how to almost instantly and seamlessly identify, pilot, and deploy ready technologies is a skill that must be developed.
