ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will present analytic, numerical, and simulation ap-
proaches to the K-stage design using nonparameteric stopping boundaries
and the error spending approach which the latter allows for modifying the
timing and number of analyses. The two methods have been implemented
in SAS with MIP, MSP, MPP, and MINP. We will illustrate how to use
these programs to design adaptive trials.
