ABSTRACT
Evaluation is one of the most controversial issues in higher education. It has generated heated debate, mainly because of the consequences it implies. The results of evaluation have direct impact in the promotion of students, attrition, graduation, accreditation, access to graduate and professional schools, financial assistance, fellowships, and access to the job market.
