ABSTRACT
Constructions on very soft soils can result in excessive deformations and stability problems. When this happens, soft soil improvement and embankment stabilization techniques should be evaluated; these can be summarized as shown in Figure 7.1. The techniques listed in the first two columns of the figure were discussed in earlier chapters.
