ABSTRACT
An information system is an organized combination of people, hardware, software, communication networks, and data resources that collects and transforms data into meaningful information and knowledge to assist the decision-making process in an organization. Figure 4.1 is a schematic view of an information system structure that shows that people, technology, and organization are interconnected within a societal and business environment.
