ABSTRACT

To prove this, we did experimental simulations in order to produce the same phenomena in laboratory environment. First we took a luminary with one fluorescent lamp and circuit that artificially simulates net impedance. Waveforms recorded in this experiment show oscillations like those recorded in canteen building. Frequency of these oscillations matches very well with resonant frequency of damped RLC circuit (eq. 1). Second experiment was pure theoretical simulation of power grid and luminary in Matlab/Simulink environment. The system of equations (eq. 2) created for circuit in fig. 2 is translated into Simulink model. Fluorescent lamp is simulated by conduction model [2], [3] described by eq. 3. This model successfully produces oscillations like real installation.
