ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the energy method [1-3] for the analysis of flexural-torsional buckling is presented in a form which is suitable for hand use. Such a method is limited to problems whose solutions do not require excessive computational effort from the analyst. For this to be so, the problems must be comparatively simple, and solutions of moderate accuracy must be acceptable.
