ABSTRACT
Abstract. Cluster plasma produced by an interaction of an ultra-short pulse laser and nitrogen clusters has been investigated as active medium of charge exchange recombination X-ray laser. A non-equilibrium charge state distribution could be easily created in the mixture of cluster and atomic gas. The possibility of the oscillation of X-ray laser due to the charge exchange was briefly discussed.
