ABSTRACT

Abstract. We present results of a Dirac R-matrix calculation for the electron impact excitation of Boron-like Titanium ions. The lowest 125 fine-structure levels belonging to the (Is2) 2s22p, 2s2p2, 2p3, 2s231, 2s2p31 and 2p231 (l=s, p, d) configurations are included in the calculations. The target model space encompassed the first 15 lowest levels, and all 105 An =0 transitions together with 40 partial waves are included in the calculation. For comparison, the calculations are also performed using the relativistic distorted-wave approximation.
