ABSTRACT

There are many reviews and books on conducting polymers, each examining these interesting materials from a slightly different viewpoint. An elementary presentation, written by and meant for a chemist, seems to be still lacking, and this chapter tries to fill this gap. The main purpose is not to give a comprehensive view of conducting polymers but to give a "primer" for a beginner in this field emphasizing techniques and leaving theories for further studies from the numerous reviews and books.
